Cupcake Christmas Tree


Do you need a quick christmas treat? These tiny cupcakes will do!

Ingredients:
- 50 grams self-raising flour
- 50 grams sugar
- 50 grams butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tablespoon milk
- a dash of vanilla extract
- cocoa powder
- red food coloring
- green food coloring
- decoration pearls
- bonbonliners

Method:

1. Make a christmas tree out of bonbonliners. This will give you a good idea of how many cupcakes you'll need from which color.
Start with making the cupcake batter by mixing the self-raising flour, the sugar, the butter, the milk, the egg and some vanilla.












2. Take two extra bowls for the coloring.
For the trunk of the tree will need a small amount of batter and the cocoa powder.The more cocoa powder the darker the trunk.
For the baubles you'll need batter for about 10 tiny cupcakes. Mix this with the red food coloring.
The remaining batter will be the tree. Color this green.

3. Bake the cupcakes for 10 minutes. Keep watching! Let them cool and press a pearl in the red cupcakes.
Place the cupcakes in to the correct order.

Wentelteefjes with chocolate sauce

A wentelteefje is a Dutch treat. It's bread with milk, sugar and cinnamon. The bread is toasted. It's delicious and worth the try!

Ingredients for 4 wentelteefjes:
- 4 old white sandwiches
- 1 small egg
- 12 grams sugar
- Cinnamon
- 1,5 dl milk
- Butter
- chocolate sauce

Method:

1.  Whisk the egg and mix the sugar and cinnamon in the egg. Use a large bowl!









2.  Cut the crusts of the 4 sandwiches and put them in the eggmixture. Turn the sandwiches. All of them should be sodden and all of the eggmixture should be gone!









3. I'm sure you can find a good destination for the crusts :)

4. Melt some butter in a pan and bake the wentelteefjes. They should be brown on both sides like the picture below.









5. Serve the wentelteefjes with some more cinnamon sugar and with optional chocolate sauce!

Quick Chocolate Milk


Ingredients for one mug:
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 180 grams milk
(whipped cream or marshmallows)

Method:

1. Mix the cocoa powder with the sugar.










2. Boil the milk and add it to the cocoa powder mixture. Keep on sturring until you have a nice cup of chocolate milk!

3. You can add some whipped cream or marshmallows.

Bruschetta



Ingredients for 12 bruschettas:
- 2 big tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons Italian herbs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 ciabatta
- 2 cloves of garlic

Method:

1. Mix your favorite Italian herbs in a bowl.












2. Mix the herbs with some olive oil.

3. Clean the cloves of garlic, put them in a garlic press and add them to the herbs.










4. Chop the tomatoes and mix them with the herbs and the garlic. Add more olive oil when the mixture appears to be too dry.












5.  Marinate the tomatoes for 10 minutes. Cut the bread into 10 slices and drizzle them with some olive oil.

6. Cover the slices of bread with the tomatoes and grill the bruschettas for 7 minutes.

Almond Cookies




Ingredients for 60 small or 30 large cookies:
- 375 grams flour
- 225 grams butter (room temperature)
- 225 grams sugar
- 1 big egg
- 1 teaspoon bakingpowder
- 2 teaspoons almond extract


Method:

1. Mix the flower and the bakingpowder.


 2. Mix the butter and the flour. Add the sugar, the egg and the almond extract to the flour.












3. Knead your dough until it looks like the picture below. Make a big ball and leave it in the fridge for an hour.

4. Dust your counter with some flour and roll out the dough. Cut out the cookies.









5. Preheat the oven up to 170 degrees and place the cookies in the oven. Bake the cookies for 10 minutes. The cookies should never be completely brown! Let the cookies cool.









6. You can make all types of cookies!

Mini pink cupcakes



These cute cupcakes are the size of a bonbon!

Ingredients for 50 cupcakes:
- 30 grams self-raising flour
- 30 grams sugar
- 30 grams butter
- 1 teaspoon milk
- 1dash of vanilla extract
- bonbonlines (50 pieces)

- 250 grams powdered sugar
- 80 grams butter
- 4 drops pink food coloring
- a dash of vanilla extract
- 125 ml milk

Method:

1. Make the cupcake batter by mixing up the self-raising flour, the sugar, the butter, the milk and the vanilla extract.
Preheat the oven up to 180 degrees.









2. Fill the liners with 2 tiny teaspoons. And place them in to the oven








3. Bake the cupcakes for max. 10 minutes.

4. Take the cupcakes out of the oven and let them cool down before you add the icing!

5. You can make buttercream icing by mixing the powdered sugar, the milk, the butter, the food coloring and the vanilla extract.
For this flower I used a star tip which has 1 lager opening. Place the tip into the pipingbag and add the icing. .












6. Place the large opening on the cupcake. This will create the large petal. Pipe your petals by working your way in and out.









7. Slowly turn the cupcake as you are piping te petals.Try to close the flower in the middle.
It takes a few cupcakes to practise but it will get better!
